NOW Broadband Deals

NOW Broadband offers three main broadband deals, with the price generally increasing in correlation with the speeds on offer:

• Brilliant Broadband, with average speeds of 11 Mbps
• Fab Fibre, with average speeds of 36 Mbps
• Super Fibre, with average speeds of 63 Mbps

All NOW Broadband packages come with unlimited downloads and free anytime calls. Customers benefit from no limits when streaming and downloading and the option to add unlimited landline calls 24/7. Broadband-only deals include line rental, as the provider connects homes to the Openreach network, which requires a phone line to be installed. 

The cheapest NOW deals are long-term 12-month contracts that don’t require a one-off setup fee, whereas 30-day plans require a £60 setup cost. That said, a 30-day rolling contract is a better option if you want to remain flexible and commitment-free. Be aware that even though a NOW monthly plan is contract-free, the one-month cancellation notice period applies.

Brilliant Broadband

Brilliant Broadband is an entry-level ADSL offer with a low average download speed. Here’s a summary:

ADSL is often low-cost because it’s only suitable for an individual or (at most) two-person household with only minimal internet usage, such as emailing or browsing. Also known as standard broadband, ADSL typically offers an average speed of no more than 10 Mbps, so this package performs quite well compared to equivalents from other broadband providers. The use of copper cables makes standard broadband the slowest broadband on the market, so big families with multiple devices should consider opting for a faster fibre-optic connection.

Fab Fibre

Fab Fibre is a superfast fibre broadband offer with average speeds three times as fast as standard broadband. Here’s a summary:

This deal is an FTTC (fibre-to-the-cabinet) deal, which uses a mixture of copper and fibre-optic cables to deliver a faster and more reliable connection than ADSL. 

A broadband speed of 36 Mbps can support up to seven devices at once, though it won’t offer them the best connection if their usage is data-heavy (such as for streaming in HD or gaming online). Beyond this it will start to slow down and certain web pages may take a while to load.

Super Fibre

Router

NOW Hub Two 

The NOW Hub Two router is included with all NOW Broadband packages – Brilliant Broadband, Fab Fibre and Super Fibre – and works similarly to the Plusnet Hub Two. The Hub Two offers:

NOW Hub

The NOW Hub is the former NOW Broadband router, which is no longer supplied to new NOW customers. If you have this router, you can upgrade to the Hub Two free of charge.

Broadband Buddy helps keep you safe online by improving internet security. It provides protection against:

• Malware-infected websites: Websites that contain viruses that can infect your devices.
• Phishing websites: Websites that try to collect your personal information (eg: name, address, bank details) by pretending to be a legitimate site. 

You can also use parental controls and choose to disable certain websites and to select an age rating. This way you can keep the family safe from inappropriate and harmful content on the internet.

How do I choose the best NOW Broadband for me?

Contract length 

Broadband deals are typically 18-month contracts, so a reason for choosing NOW Broadband could be its choice of short-term and contract-free deals. Deciding whether you plan to stay with the provider or switch within the near future will help you choose the best contract length for you. 

Monthly cost 

Price is always one of the main factors to consider because a broadband deal must fit both your internet needs and your budget. Think about opting for the NOW Broadband package that can fulfill both requirements because, while an ADSL plan is cheaper, it will disappoint if it’s too slow to keep up with your internet activity. 

Download speed
