The blues continue for Chelsea boss Graham Potter following successive defeats by Manchester City in the Premier League and the FA Cup, the latter a 4-0 thumping at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

Potter finds himself under increasing pressure at Stamford Bridge and his odds have now been cut to 5/1 in the Premier League sack race, making him second favourite behind another young manager who knows exactly how he feels, former Chelsea manager Frank Lampard.

Premier League sack race: Potter feels the heat

Second favourite in the next Premier League manager to leave market is Graham Potter, who quit Brighton for Chelsea in early September and began his tenure at Stamford Bridge with six wins and three draws in his first nine matches across all competitions.

However, the next nine have resulted in two wins, a draw and six defeats, and Chelsea have failed to score in the last five of those losses.

Potter is 5/1 second favourite behind Everton’s Frank Lampard, who is 4/7 to leave next. The Toffees are in an even worse run, having lost nine of their previous 12 matches, the last two being a 4-1 home defeat by Brighton and a 3-1 FA Cup loss against Manchester United.

Third in the market is Southampton boss Nathan Jones at 6/1. The former Luton Town manager has been in the job for a month, presiding over four straight league defeats and two cup wins, but Saints need to climb off the foot of the Premier League table to ease the pressure on him.

Having guided West Ham to finish sixth in the Premier League in 2020-21 and seventh the following season, David Moyes is enduring the toughest challenge of his second spell in charge of the London club. His side are 17th and he is 13/2 fourth favourite to be the next Premier League manager to part company with his club, ahead of Bournemouth’s Gary O’Neil at 8/1.
