Leeds United are 9/2 to be relegated from the Premier League having failed to win any of their three matches since returning from the World Cup.

Jesse Marsch’s side are just two points clear of the relegation zone and will need a victory against Aston Villa on Friday evening to give themselves breathing space.

Leeds in relegation equation

Leeds United are now firmly in the relegation battle, just two points above the drop zone after picking up just a point from three league matches since the season resumed after the World Cup.

The Whites are still a big 9/2 to go down but should Jesse Marsch’s side lose their next couple of games, the pressure will intensify on the American in the dugout.

Bournemouth are the new 2/5 favourites to be relegated and have been on a poor run of form in recent weeks to slip to 16th. Next in the market are their south-coast rivals Southampton, who are still searching for improvement under Nathan Jones and are 8/15.

Nottingham Forest are the third favourites for the drop at 6/5 and their home form could be pivotal in keeping them in the division. The same goes for Everton (5/4), whose fervent fans often give them an edge at Goodison, which has not witnessed second tier football since the 1953-54 season.

Wolves are 6/4 and in 19th position, although new manager Julen Lopetegui has overseen a swift improvement in performances since taking over in December. The Spaniard faces a very different challenge to those he has encountered in club management in recent seasons, with Porto, Real Madrid and Sevilla so it will be interesting to see how he fares in the Black Country.
